Seminar: The Benefits of Sound Healing

Sunday 10:30 am - 11:30 am

This seminar is an experiential workshop to learn about the benefits of Sound Healing and try a few techniques on playing Tibetan and Crystal bowls. If you have a bowl you’d like to “get to know” a bit better, bring it along… and there will be a few bowls available to practice with.  It’s gonna be unique and lots of fun as we co-create a Community SoundScape!

Greetings!  I’m Amy Hamilton, Founder and Sound Guide for SoundScapes Tulsa.

The gifting of a Tibetan bowl and a weekend workshop learning how to play crystal bowls activated my awareness and interest in working with sound healing instruments for restorative and healing purposes. SoundScapes Tulsa was officially “born” at the 2015 I AM yoga festival where I had the opportunity to share my 1st public SoundScape Experience*.  Over the last few years sharing these experiences and working Intentionally with Sound has become a passion, and dare I say… an addiction!  I love it!

I have shared public SoundScapes at Zen Body Yoga, I AM Yoga Festivals, H2Oasis Float Center, I AM Yoga Studio, a Big OM retreat, and Yoga Groove.  I also offer 1 on 1 (or couples) and small group Sound Bath sessions in my home Sound Studio.  I completed my Level 1 Foundational Diploma in Sound Therapy in 2015 and I’m currently working on my Level 2 Certification as an Integral Sound Healing Therapist.

My full time/day time gig is working at Tulsa Tech as a Client Services/Project Coordinator in the Business Industry Services department.  I office at 36 Degrees North (which is a totally awesome place) and I get to coordinate and facilitate low cost and high quality training opportunities to Tulsa’s Non-Profit community.  I’m one lucky girl to get to do this for my FT job!

In addition to SoundScapes Tulsa, other “Side Hustles” I have launched include Founder/Guide of the Community of the Sacred Wheel – a Womyn’s Circle, and Founder/Member of Harmonyc Fuzion – a trio sharing “music that matters.”
